Thank you. As the results from our surveys came in over the week since we hosted the 2019 Beer Marketing and Tourism Conference in Boise, Idaho, we saw that it was the best reviewed BMTC yet! Here are some of the fine things our attendees said about BMTC19:
“I had a fantastic time! This is my 3rd Zephyr Conference that I’ve attended and this one was my favorite and most useful. I met some great people and the dinner at Gooding Farms will be one of my favorite beer memories!”
“Very diverse group of attendees. Different from my regular interactions at events like Craft Brewers Conference.”
“It was my first time attending and I was quite impressed. I’m interested in attending again and even presenting again. Cheers!”
“You all do a great job. Keep up the hard work and know that I am thankful.”
“I think you guys are doing AWESOME!”
“The Brewery Summit was a great opportunity to share ideas with my colleagues across other breweries.”
Such kind words, but it seems supported by the fact that both the content and the events were a hit. 84% of all survey respondents said the overall impression of the conference was Very Good to Excellent. 95% of those who went to Gooding Farms rated the hop farm tour and dinner Excellent (5/5 stars!).

We were pleased that nearly 70% thought the conference had a good balance of educational, networking, beer tasting, and fun activities. We certainly try to bring all those things to every conference we put on at Zephyr Conferences.
But we also appreciated all the attendees who shared their insights and opinions in ways that will help us improve BMTC more. We heard you all loud and clear, and we’re excited to bring more of what you ask for and continue to refine the content, finding the very best presenters who can speak to our very diverse crowd. Here are some of the ways we’ve been asked to refine the conference:
- In addition to Marketing, Beer Tourism, and Events, the top two most-requested content suggestions were to cover Branding and Economics/Industry Statistics. (We’re already on the hunt for speakers to cover branding, and we look forward to our work with Dr. Claudia Schmidt and Dr. Neil Reid, and others, to provide more stats.)
- “I think Pink Boots would be a great partner in this!” (Stay tuned, we’ve got big plans with this one!)
- “Give past attendees a discount when they bring on someone who has never attended.” (Referral rewards can work. We’ll look into it.)
We take our surveys seriously, and we strive to strike a balance between building our audience and supporting our core directives. With that, we’re very excited to be bringing the 4th annual Beer Marketing and Tourism Conference to St. Pete/Clearwater, Florida, February 4-6, 2020, where our keynote will be Dr. Neil Reid.
