Most attendees at the BMTC are highly aware of the constant, major changes in the beer industry. Just think of our media attendees who are living through constant, major changes in TWO industries: beer and media.
The public is questioning the motives of media, spurred on by politicians. “Click bait” news that is more about gaining eyeballs than delivering valuable content is omnipresent. Print magazines are folding and newspapers are cutting staff. Websites are becoming the go-to news sources. All of this is also affecting beer media.
We will hear from a panel of beer media about their role in the industry including ideas that can affect you, including:
- Is there a divide or perceived difference between paid and unpaid writers?
- How do consumers perceive online-only versus print media?
- Does online or print advertising work?
- Will an article about your company increase your sales?
- How can you best pitch your story to media?
