With the explosion of craft beer has come the advent of beer tourism. And with beer tourism has come the establishment of beer tour companies around the world.
There are now at least 143 beer tour operators and likely many more.
You can find a beer tour operator in almost every major and mid-cized city in the United States. Beer tour operators are now being established in cities around the world. And vacation operators take beer fans on dream trips to locations like Belgium and Germany as well as Oregon, Colorado, and North Carolina.
From 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28 at the first Beer Marketing & Tourism Conference we will present a workshop on Creating and Growing a Beer Tour Operator Business. This workshop is for those already operating a beer tour company, those interested to start one, and anyone interested in learning about the operations of beer tour companies.
Our topics will include:
- Establishing a business
- Selecting a market niche
- Pricing
- Creating tours
- Working with breweries and other community organizations
- Hiring guides
- Marketing
The workshop will be interactive, with participants asking questions and providing their own experiences throughout. However, we also have two excellent presenters:
- Dave Philips: Dave is owner of Dave’s Brewery Tours in Sydney, Australia, which is now establishing locations throughout the country. Dave also operates beer industry events and pub walking tours.
- Brant Myers: Brant is owner of Hop On Beer Tours, operating in San Luis Obispo county in California. Brant is a classic success story, having expanded by 200% each year, added walking tours of breweries, and opened a second location in a new market.
Don’t miss out. Register for the conference today!
Is there a way to be Skyped in?
Unfortunately, there is not. We’ll have dozens of operators there and won’t be livestreaming. Sorry!
